James is a marketing and sales professional, trained in blue chip multinationals; Allied Domecq, PepsiCo and Suntory. After a series of marketing and sales senior roles over the last 15 years, James moved into search consulting by joining Maesina Search International in 2008.

After gaining a BA (Hons) in Economics, James trained in investment finance as a postgraduate (at Exeter University) and joined Charterhouse Bank in 1987. After 4 years of this finance platform, he decided to pursue his passion for brands and moved into branded consumer goods with Allied Domecq and advanced in progressive management roles spanning Germany and European markets in account management, local brand marketing and strategic brand development.

Accelerating his career through joining PepsiCo (UK) in 1997, James markedly developed the Walkers brand share in the top grocery accounts. He used this experience to build the spirits business of Suntory's UK division in international markets (1999-2006); doubling their market share in global travel retail and creating the company's most profitable market. After electing to undertake the Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (C.I.M. 2003), James progressed to Marketing Director and drove a successful corporate and brand transformation programme to focus the business on premium brand development and to accelerate the brands in global markets.

James lives in Scotland, UK, and actively pursues Continuous Professional Development in marketing (member of the C.I.M.), a Chartered Marketer and member of The Levitt Group of senior marketers. He compliments his specialist Search expertise by pursuing an active role in strategy and brand marketing in the creative design, energy and drink industries with partner companies. James is a keen active sportsman and member of various non-professional organisations in the UK.
