Praveen Malhotra is the Managing Partner of Positive Moves, the Indian member firm of Gow & Partners World Team and completing searches across Life Insurance, General Insurance, Asset Management, Private Equity, Mortgage Guarantee and Retail Banking. One of the Architects of Executive Search Business in India, Praveen played a pivotal role in the evolution of Executive Search Industry in India, when it started taking shape in early 90s, coinciding with liberalization.

In his current role, Praveen looks after the Global Financial Services & IT verticals, and Geography head for Asia. He is leading the firm’s foray in Hong Kong, and emerging markets such as Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia etc. Praveen has an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and 17 years of experience in handling searches for existing and start up ventures in Financial Services, Management Consultancy, FMCG and Media. Praveen previously worked with Toyota and an Indian Technology MNC, HCL group, before establishing Positive Moves in 1992.

Praveen has established several practices– FMCG, Strategy Consulting, Telecom Infrastructure, Retail, and Financial Services. Praveen has also been a Strategic Business Advisor to several corporations, especially at an entry/ start up phase, on developing Organization Design, and Talent Strategy & Solutions.
