Roddy Gow is the founding Chairman of Gow & Partners, a global counseling and executive search boutique specializing in cross border key executive appointments. He is a renowned international practitioner in Board and senior executive recruitment and has nearly 25 years of executive search experience across all areas, specializing in the financial services sector. His expertise ranges from investment and commercial banking to asset management and venture capital. He has executed searches in Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

He began his career in executive search with Russell Reynolds where he became Managing Director responsible for the firm’s London and, subsequently, international practices. In 1991, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the GKR Group based in London and then New York. In 1995, he was recruited to LAI Worldwide, later acquired by TMP, as Executive Vice President in New York, responsible for the Global Financial Services Practice and the Northeast Region. During that time he was also Chairman of the Americas for AMROP International and subsequently Deputy Chairman Worldwide.  In 2000, he returned to London to become Chairman of the Board and Financial Services Practices of a UK firm. In 2002 he founded Gow & Partners.

Before entering the executive search business in 1983, Roddy Gow was at Barclays Bank in London and New York from 1978 to 1983, leaving as a Vice President. He also served with the Scots Guards for 12 years, was Personal Staff Officer to the Chairman of the Military Committee of NATO in Brussels and was later an instructor at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

Roddy Gow is the past Chairman and President of The British American Business Council, the largest transatlantic business network in the world. His contribution was recognized in the Queen’s Honors List in 2002 when he was awarded an OBE, (Officer of the British Empire). He is a member of the Advisory Board of Moore Clayton & Co., a UK/US venture capital firm and a Director of CDG Holdings. He is a member of the Advisory Council of the London Symphony Orchestra and Co Chair of the American Foundation. He is a member of the Business Advisory Forum of the Saïd Business School of Oxford University. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts and the Institute of Personal Development. He is a member of the Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers. He holds an MA from Trinity College, Cambridge University.
